About Me

Hi, I’m Annie.

I’m a writer and artist who has worked in music, journalism, publishing, marketing, and the surf industry

(yeah, life is weird).

I’ve toured Europe in a rock and roll van, shared the stage with Sheryl Crow and Sarah MacLachlan, taught surfing in Costa Rica, and almost perfected the art of the breakfast burrito.

Now I use my 15 years experience running a record label, my background in songwriting, and my BA in Sociology to:

write copy and that connects

design honest and effective marketing content

empower companies and entertain audiences.

My goal is to help businesses (and people!) understand their mission, connect to their purpose, and present their best selves to their community and the world at large. And if they cry or laugh a little bit along the way, that’s fine too.

I live in Malpais, Costa Rica and Portland, Oregon.

One Out October Project

In October 2018 I completed my One Out October project where I released a song video and blog every freakin’ day for an entire month!

I sang songs about hope, Costa Rican druglords, longing, and seasonal depression. I talked about hangin’ in there when things get rough. I shared intimate details about my life, like how I was once the world’s worst high school hurdler.

I even had a few special guests!
